Sattvik food festival is a celebration of traditional nutritious food. The celebrated food has an age-oldevolutionary history and a strong place in the cultures. Around 14 years ago, the Indian Institute ofManagement (IIM) Ahmedabad decided to bring an initiative to provide market-based incentives forconserving agro-biodiversity. This year the event was celebrated with more than 100 stalls and a foot fallof approximately a million people. The event gave a platform of interaction for participants and the stallholders for showcasing their nutritious products.Participants also had a chance to take a look at folk dance, music, grassroot innovations, and awarenessprograms. The catalysts took this as an opportunity and presented a street play on Green andSustainable Lifestyle. They also tried to propagate the concerns of E-waste by distributing an informativepamphlet following the play. This proved to be a very sincere attempt of the Green Catalysts to spreadawareness to save our environment.
