India was the global host of 2018 World Environment Day with the “Beat Plastic Pollution” as the theme for this year’s edition. Our society is becoming increasingly dependent on plastic products and making a shift to decrease the plastic usage can only be achieved through awareness programs. Green Catalysts desired to spread awareness regarding plastic pollution in Ahmedabad city and make it a plastic-free city to live in. Thus, they organized various programs from 3rd to 5th June 2018 to spread awareness about the adversities of plastic pollution among people. The further details of the event are discussed below.

i. Street play on Plastic Pollution in Hindi was held on 3rd June 2018, Sunday, at Happy Street, Ahmedabad (Sabarmati Riverfront) and Vastrapur Garden.
ii. Street Play and Quiz on Plastic Pollution was held on 4th June 2018 at Usmanpura and for Metro Workers (organized by Tata Projects) at Bhadaj Circle.
iii. Skit, Quiz, and paper bag making program was held at Vista Prints, Makarba, Ahmedabad.
iv. Presentation and Skit on Plastic pollution was held at ONGC, Kalol.
