Venue: Vishvakarma Hall, L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad
Students of Environmental Engineering Department (LDCE) and Green Catalysts took an opportunity for celebration National Engineers’ Day and World Ozone Day to put together a competition ‘ Engineers for Environment’ to provoke the thought process and give a common platform to the engineering students for presenting creative suggestions concerning sustainable development.
The topics of the presentation were:
1. Green Lifestyle
2. Sustainable Township
3. Zero waste event
We received a response of 13 entries from colleges across Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Udaipur etc; out of which 8 of the entries were selected for the final round. The topics of presentation included Green Lifestyle, Sustainable Township, Innovation: Flowers to Fertilizer, Green Lifestyle, Zero Waste Event, Innovation: Brick using Major Polluting Waste and Sustainable Township: E-wing.
Judges of the competition were:

ii. Mr. Gaurang Vasavada, Scientific Officer, GPCB
iii. Mr. Mahesh Pandya, Director, Paryavaran Mitra

Competition Results:
1 st Position: Kunjal Jain and Kunjpreet Arora, Techno India NJR institute of Technology, Udaipur.
1 st Runner-up: Arjun Thakker and Yash Bhatt, Silver Oak college of Engineering, Ahmedabad.
2 nd Runner-up: Samkit Shah, Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar.
The thee participants were accustomed with a certificate of appreciation, while the others were awarded participatory certificates and prizes.
