Anand Run is a marathon conducted by IRMA annually in the city of Anand. The run has a past ofpublicizing importance issues such as cashless economy and welfare of underprivileged children. Theevent this year was celebrated as ‘Run for a Cause’ to publicize awareness concerning environmentalconservation. The cause supported the values of the foundation as well as propagates the thoughtprocess of the participants.
The catalysts conducted various on-ground awareness initiations for the runin various colleges and public places to ignite participants.The participants were offered pre-run warm up before starting the run. Thereafter, run was initiated inearly morning at 6 with an open format of completing the marathon in 6km or 10km. The runencountered of participants of all age groups from children to senior citizens. The run was completedwith post-zumba workshop. Lastly, 15 winners were announced and awarded prize woney worth 65,000.In addition to that, participants were rewarded with participatory gifts such as plants and t-shirts. As aresult, more than 250 sapling were planted on that day as an initiative of the event.
